Following our shortlisting for an Emerging Payments Award, we are delighted to share the news that our Metro Bank in-store payment solution has also been shortlisted for a Payments Award in the ‘Payments Innovation of the Year’ category.
Now in their 6th successful year, the Payments Awards recognise card and payments excellence and innovation. Winning entries come from those companies, individuals and organisations who have successfully implemented the most outstanding card payments solutions, initiatives and projects during the past year.
The nomination is in recognition of the Metro Bank ‘walk out trading’ service; a multi-channel, pay as you go payment solution that can be applied for and instantly approved within a Metro Bank store. The multi-channel solution and the online application process is powered by PayaCardServices pioneering technology, the team at PayaCardServices worked closely with acceptcards® and Metro Bank to develop the unique proposition.

Richard Bradley, acceptcards® CEO commented:
“We are delighted to be a finalist for a Payments Award, our second award shortlisting of the year no less. The success of our Metro Bank in-store proposition is a great example of our core capabilities; helping partners identify payment focussed opportunities within their networks, then finding the industries best, most suitable payment service providers to help develop bespoke solutions. Thank you to the judges for the shortlisting, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for the ceremony in November”
