The team at acceptcards® is proud to support March of the Day III, a six-day, 350-mile walking challenge raising vital funds and awareness for people affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Taking place from the 1st to the 6th of June, the challenge brings together former footballers, rugby league players, business leaders and supporters as they visit around 50 stadiums across the North of England in aid of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Jason Costello, Head of Marketing at acceptcards® is part of the core walking team covering the opening Forty Six stages of the event over the first three days. The route begins at Liverpool FC’s Anfield at 09:15hrs before arriving at Stockport County Edgeley Park at approximately 17:15hrs, where the baton will be handed over to the second core team continuing on towards Leeds and the Rob Burrow Centre.
On day three, Jason will be joined at Salford City by Richard Bradley, CEO of acceptcards® and Mark Firth, Senior Partnership Manager, as the business continues its support for the challenge and the wider MND community. Proud sponsors since the first March of the Day walk in 2024, acceptcards hopes this year’s event will see the fundraising total surpass the £500,000 barrier.
Jason Costello said: “These walks always remind you that you get to meet the very best of people. Everyone involved is giving their time, energy and support for something far bigger than themselves. We know it gets painful and I’m already expecting to lose a few toenails like I always seem to do on these challenges, but that’s a very small price to pay for raising awareness and funds for families affected by MND. Hopefully, once this year’s walk is complete, we’ll have helped March of the Day smash through £500,000 as we continue to Attack MND!
Funds raised from March of the Day III will help support the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and Rob Burrow Centre, invest in vital research, deliver specialist care and provide support for families living with MND.
