I do love this time of the year as the collective Christmas cheer fades and a New Year begins, it’s this time that many business leaders and owners find themselves reflecting on the past year and reassessing their business targets, goals and aims. I’ve seen it year after year, I think it’s the quieter post-Christmas period that provides the opportunity to take a closer look at key figures and examine the budgets and performance.

2025 seems no different, since being back on the 2nd our team has been working with partners whose key driver is a particular focus on reducing overheads.

Having been in business for two decades, we understand the importance of cost-effective payment processing. We see daily how navigating the complex world of card and cash payments can be challenging if you don’t know how to read statements properly away from the headline rates.

By forensically analysing a business’s payment processing habits, we can identify areas for improvement and negotiate better deals from over 60 payment suppliers, means we have a significant positive impact on a business’s bottom line.

You may remember from previous posts ( I was very excited to announce) that beyond card processing we are unique in the payments sector as in 2024 we launched AcceptCash, to help businesses optimise their cash handling processes. Just like when I founded Acceptcards in 2005 we are disrupting this sector to great acclaim. From the easy simple wins of lower rates to bank cash, utilising smart safe solutions to provide secure and efficient reconciliation alongside same-day value meaning businesses have their takings in their account the same day they receive a cash payment.

I know from my network that businesses are worried, you just have to scroll LinkedIn to read the impact of NI and National Minimum Wage increases will have, and because of this the pressure to find ways to cut their cloth accordingly will be at the for, but just as in 2008 with the banking crash and the decade of austerity, to the 2020 pandemic, followed by 2023 recession we are a resilient nation who know how to dig in, and as I’ve seen over my time leading Acceptcards we are here and ready to do our bit to help.

Feel free to reach out so you can tap into my grey hairs and our two decades of experience, we’ll help you navigate the complexities of the modern payments landscape and thrive in this competitive marketplace.”
